A Ghanaian self-styled man of God has triggered a heated conversation online after taking aim at adults who spend part of their free time playing video games.
According to him, men who have reached their late 30s should have moved beyond activities he considers to be associated with children, particularly gaming on consoles such as PlayStation.
He questioned why a 38-year-old man would still dedicate his leisure time to playing video games instead of focusing on what he believes should be more serious responsibilities.
In a statement that has attracted attention, the preacher reportedly remarked that a man at that age who continues to play PlayStation is making a joke of his own life.
His comments have since generated mixed reactions, with some people agreeing that adults should prioritise work, family and personal development, while others have strongly disagreed with his position.
Critics of the preacher argue that playing video games is simply a form of entertainment and does not necessarily determine whether an adult is responsible or successful.
Others have also pointed out that people have different ways of relaxing after work, suggesting that age alone should not be used to determine what someone is allowed to enjoy during their leisure time.
The remarks have therefore opened another debate about adulthood, recreation and whether certain hobbies should have an age limit.
