Ghana’s power supply has been completely reinstated following a significant system disturbance, with all generating units now operational and the national grid brought back to stability. Energy Minister John Abdulai Jinapor confirmed the update, attributing the success to relentless, around-the-clock efforts by engineers and technical personnel within the energy sector.

“Goal Attained”. All generation units are now back in service,” he declared, adding that despite the difficult circumstances, the restoration was effectively executed through well-coordinated emergency interventions.

The Minister also extended his appreciation to the management and staff of GRIDCo, VRA, and the Electricity Company of Ghana, along with other supporting institutions whose collaboration made the rapid recovery possible.

He commended the commitment and professionalism of workers in the sector, stating that the outcome highlights Ghana’s ability to respond decisively in times of crisis. “This moment proves that even in challenging times, Ghana can depend on the expertise and resilience of its people,” he said.
