Deputy Finance Minister: Government Has Done a Lot to Promote Businesses in Ghana
The Deputy Finance Minister has defended the government’s economic policies, insisting that significant efforts have been made to create a more business-friendly environment and support the growth of enterprises across Ghana.
Speaking on the government’s economic agenda, the Deputy Minister said several interventions introduced by the administration have been aimed at improving the operating environment for businesses, stimulating investment, and creating jobs. According to the Minister, these measures demonstrate the government’s commitment to supporting both local and foreign businesses despite prevailing economic challenges.
The Deputy Finance Minister noted that policies implemented over the years have sought to ease the burden on businesses, encourage entrepreneurship, and strengthen the private sector, which remains a key driver of Ghana’s economic growth.
He stressed that government continues to work with stakeholders to address challenges facing businesses while introducing reforms that will enhance productivity and competitiveness. He added that creating a stable macroeconomic environment remains one of the administration’s top priorities.
The Deputy Minister also urged business owners and investors to take advantage of the opportunities being created through government initiatives, emphasizing that sustained collaboration between the public and private sectors is essential for accelerating economic development.
He maintained that while challenges still exist, the government’s track record shows it has taken concrete steps to promote businesses and support sustainable economic growth across the country.
