Ghana’s Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has conveyed a message of goodwill to candidates across the country as they begin the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). The Tamale South MP encouraged students to approach the exams with confidence and a calm attitude.

He advised candidates to remain composed, believe in their abilities, and put in their best effort in every paper. He emphasized that students should face each subject with focus and determination as they work through the examination period.

The Minister further urged candidates to uphold honesty and discipline throughout the exams. He reminded them to rely on the preparation they have undertaken over time and to trust in their hard work.

He concluded by wishing all candidates success in their examinations. The 2026 BECE begins today, Monday, May 4, and is scheduled to end on May 11.
