Africa Must Reach a Point Where Its People No Longer Queue for Visas – Archbishop Duncan-Williams
Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, General Overseer of Action Chapel International, has expressed his vision for a highly developed Africa where citizens no longer need to endure long visa application processes to travel abroad.
Speaking at the 4th Inter-Parliamentary Conference on Family, Sovereignty and Values, the renowned Ghanaian preacher said he dreams of a future in which African nations are so advanced and prosperous that their citizens can move across the world with dignity and confidence.
“I have a dream that Africa will be so developed that, very soon, no sons and daughters of the continent of Africa will queue for visas to go to any other country,” he stated.
Archbishop Duncan-Williams emphasized that Africa’s transformation would require sustained commitment, visionary leadership, and collective effort from governments, institutions, and citizens across the continent. He urged African leaders to prioritize policies that promote economic growth, education, innovation, and good governance.
According to him, the continent possesses immense human and natural resources capable of driving significant development if properly harnessed. He stressed that Africa’s future should not be defined by dependence on external powers but by self-reliance, strategic investments, and a shared commitment to progress.
The respected cleric’s remarks resonated with participants at the conference, which focused on issues relating to family values, national sovereignty, and sustainable development. His call highlighted the need for African countries to work together to create opportunities that will improve the quality of life for their citizens and strengthen the continent’s position on the global stage.
Archbishop Duncan-Williams concluded by encouraging Africans to remain hopeful and dedicated to building a continent that future generations will be proud to inherit.
