Nigerian Remanded Over Alleged Plot to Rob Three Accra Banks
A Nigerian national has been remanded by an Accra Circuit Court over his alleged involvement in a plot to rob three banks in the Labone area of Accra.
The suspect, identified as Maazi Okechuku Augustine, is alleged to have been part of a group whose planned operation was foiled by the police.
According to reports, police officers monitoring the area spotted suspected members of the group in vehicles parked close to the targeted banks.
Augustine is expected to return to court on Wednesday as investigations into the alleged robbery plot continue.
