President Mahama Inspects Kafodzidzi–Aburansa Road Project, Reaffirms Commitment to Cape Coast Castle Restoration
President John Dramani Mahama has inspected the ongoing Kafodzidzi–Aburansa Road project in the Central Region, reaffirming his government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and preserving Ghana’s rich historical heritage.
During the inspection, President Mahama expressed satisfaction with the progress of work on the road project, emphasizing its importance in improving transportation, boosting economic activities, and enhancing the livelihoods of residents in the surrounding communities. He noted that the government remains focused on delivering quality infrastructure that connects communities and supports national development.
The President also pledged the government’s unwavering commitment to the restoration of the Cape Coast Castle, one of Ghana’s most significant historical landmarks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. He stressed that preserving the castle is essential not only for safeguarding the country’s history but also for promoting tourism and educating future generations about Ghana’s past.
According to President Mahama, restoring the Cape Coast Castle will help strengthen Ghana’s cultural heritage while attracting more local and international visitors, creating economic opportunities for businesses in the region.
He assured residents that his administration would continue to invest in projects that balance infrastructure development with the preservation of the nation’s historical and cultural assets.
The inspection formed part of the President’s tour of ongoing development projects aimed at assessing progress and ensuring timely completion for the benefit of Ghanaians.
