John Dumelo Confident of Retaining Ayawaso West Wuogon Seat Despite NPP Challenge

Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo, has expressed confidence in retaining his parliamentary seat despite renewed competition from the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the next general election.

Speaking on the political contest in his constituency, the MP said he remains unfazed by the emergence of potential challengers, stressing that democracy provides every qualified individual with the right to contest for public office.

According to John Dumelo, he understands the determination of the NPP to reclaim the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat, but his priority is to continue delivering on the mandate entrusted to him by the people of the constituency.

He noted that rather than being distracted by political competition, he is focused on serving his constituents and addressing their needs through effective representation and development initiatives.

The MP emphasized that his performance and commitment to the people will ultimately determine the outcome of any future electoral contest, adding that he remains optimistic about earning another term in office.

John Dumelo further reiterated that healthy political competition is an important part of Ghana’s democratic system and welcomed anyone who wishes to contest, expressing confidence that the people of Ayawaso West Wuogon will make their decision based on his record in office.
