Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the former Executive Secretary of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining (IMCCoD), has denied reports claiming that his assets have been frozen following an alleged court order.

Reacting to the reports, Mr. Aboagye said he has not received any official communication from the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) regarding the alleged asset freeze.

“I have not seen anything from EOCO saying that [my properties have been frozen],” he stated, dismissing the reports as unconfirmed.

His comments come after media reports suggested that a court had ordered the freezing of his assets as part of ongoing investigations. However, Mr. Aboagye insisted that he has not been served with any such order or informed by EOCO of any action against his properties.

The former IMCCoD Executive Secretary maintained that he is only aware of the reports circulating in the media and has not received any official notice to support the claims.

Neither EOCO nor the court had publicly responded to Mr. Aboagye’s remarks at the time of filing this report, leaving questions over the status of the alleged court order.

The development has sparked public interest, with many awaiting an official statement from the relevant authorities to clarify the matter.
