The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has indicated that no severe rainfall is expected across the country today, Thursday, offering a temporary break from the heavy downpours that have affected parts of Ghana in recent days.
According to GMet, today’s weather conditions will be mostly cloudy, with a possibility of light rain in some areas. However, forecasters say the intensity will be significantly lower compared to earlier rainfall events that contributed to flooding in several locations.
Meteorologists explained that there may also be brief periods of sunshine during the day, although residents should still expect occasional drizzle depending on their location.
Looking ahead, GMet has warned that rainfall activity is likely to return over the weekend. The agency says Friday and Saturday carry a higher chance of showers and thunderstorms, though these are not expected to reach the severity of the recent heavy rains.
Residents have been advised to remain cautious, especially those in flood-prone areas, as weather patterns remain unstable during the ongoing rainy season.
