Ghana, Lebanon Strengthen Bilateral Relations with Focus on Education, Trade and Manufacturing
Ghana and Lebanon have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening diplomatic and economic relations, with both countries pledging to expand cooperation in key sectors, including education, trade, and manufacturing.
The renewed commitment followed a meeting during which Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs officially received the Letters of Credence from the Ambassador-designate of Lebanon to Ghana. The presentation of the diplomatic credentials marks the formal commencement of the ambassador’s mission and signals a renewed drive to deepen collaboration between the two nations.
During the meeting, both sides highlighted the longstanding cordial relations between Ghana and Lebanon and expressed optimism about enhancing partnerships that will deliver mutual economic and social benefits. Discussions centered on creating new opportunities for investment, promoting bilateral trade, and strengthening collaboration in the manufacturing sector to support industrial growth.
Education also featured prominently in the discussions, with both countries expressing interest in expanding cooperation through knowledge exchange, capacity-building initiatives, and academic partnerships aimed at benefiting students and professionals in both nations.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs welcomed the Ambassador-designate and reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to maintaining strong diplomatic ties with Lebanon. The minister also assured the envoy of the government’s support in carrying out his diplomatic responsibilities to further strengthen relations between the two countries.
The Ambassador-designate, in turn, conveyed Lebanon’s commitment to fostering closer cooperation with Ghana and expressed readiness to work with the Ghanaian government to identify new areas of collaboration that will enhance trade, investment, and people-to-people relations.
The meeting underscores the shared determination of both nations to build stronger bilateral ties and pursue partnerships that contribute to sustainable economic development and mutual prosperity.
