The Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has announced plans to construct a modern 500-bed children’s hospital and a 24-hour pharmacy at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital as part of efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery in Ghana.

Speaking on the initiative, the Ga Mantse revealed that he has formally submitted the project documents to the Minister of Health to facilitate the commencement of the projects. According to him, the move marks a significant step toward improving access to quality healthcare services, particularly for children and families.

He further disclosed that President John Dramani Mahama has shown interest in supporting the initiative, raising hopes that the ambitious healthcare projects will receive the necessary backing to become a reality.

The proposed children’s hospital is expected to help address the growing demand for specialized pediatric healthcare services, while the 24-hour pharmacy will enhance access to essential medicines and healthcare support around the clock.

The initiative underscores the Ga Mantse’s commitment to supporting national development and improving healthcare infrastructure for the benefit of Ghanaians.
