President John Dramani Mahama has expressed confidence that Bawku can recover from the effects of the prolonged conflict that disrupted lives and economic activities in the area.

Speaking during his tour of the Upper East Region, the President said the relative calm experienced in Bawku creates an opportunity for residents to rebuild their lives and restore economic activities.

He noted that with the guns no longer sounding, attention must now turn to rebuilding and revitalising the community.
