Russia has increased its annual scholarship allocation for Ghanaian students from 120 to 240, providing more opportunities for young people seeking to pursue higher education abroad.

Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa announced that the scholarships are fully funded and will give priority to students pursuing programmes in key fields, including artificial intelligence, engineering, petroleum sciences and pharmaceuticals.

The increase is expected to widen access to international education while helping Ghanaian students gain specialised knowledge and skills in areas considered important to the country’s future development.

The announcement comes as Ghana continues to strengthen educational and diplomatic relations with international partners, creating additional opportunities for students to pursue advanced studies in specialised fields. (Graphic Online)
