John Ntim Fordjour, Member of Parliament for Assin South on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party, on Thursday denied allegations of a sexual relationship with transgender musician Angel Maxine.

He stated, “Maxine, in her old or present life, contrary to her claim that she has had intercourse with me, I have never engaged in any such act.” He added that his beliefs align with what he described as relationships ordained “between Adam and Eve.”

The denial follows comments made by Samuel Nartey George during deliberations on the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, 2025 by the Parliament of Ghana Committee on Constitutional and Legal Affairs in Accra.

Mr. George—who serves as Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations and MP for Ningo-Prampram under the National Democratic Congress—referenced the allegations and noted that individuals who publicly identify as part of the LGBTQ community could face prosecution if the bill is passed into law.
