The New Patriotic Party \(NPP\) in the Ashanti Region is set to hold its Regional Executive Elections on Saturday, August 15, with 34 aspirants contesting 11 executive positions.

A total of 1,020 delegates are expected to participate in the election and vote to determine the party’s new regional leadership. The contest is expected to attract significant attention as the NPP seeks to strengthen its structures in the Ashanti Region while in opposition.

The positions up for grabs include the Regional Chairmanship, with aspirants also competing for other key executive roles.

The election is expected to be closely watched by party supporters and political observers because of the strategic importance of the Ashanti Region to the NPP.

The party has urged aspirants and supporters to maintain discipline and ensure the electoral process is conducted peacefully.

The outcome will determine the individuals who will lead the NPP’s Ashanti Regional branch and oversee its activities in the region in the coming years.
