Kwabena Yeboah Reveals He Once Dreamed of Becoming a Lawyer

Veteran Ghanaian sports journalist and broadcaster, Kwabena Yeboah, has disclosed that journalism was never part of his original career plans, revealing that he had once set his sights on becoming a lawyer.

Speaking about his journey, Kwabena Yeboah said his parents were based in the United Kingdom and had already secured an opportunity for him to study law in Manchester. According to him, everything was in place for him to pursue a legal career, but he ultimately decided to follow a different path.

“I never wanted to be a journalist. I wanted to be a lawyer. My parents were in the UK. I got a school in Manchester to go and read law. I changed my mind,” he recounted.

The respected broadcaster admitted that his decision did not sit well with his father, who had hoped to see him become a lawyer. He revealed that his father never fully forgave him for abandoning the opportunity to study law abroad.

Despite the disappointment from his family, Kwabena Yeboah went on to build one of the most successful careers in Ghanaian sports journalism. Over the years, he has become a household name, earning admiration for his insightful analysis, commentary, and contribution to sports broadcasting in the country.
