The Ministry of Health has acknowledged growing concerns and anxiety among applicants over the ongoing nurses’ recruitment process following the introduction of its online recruitment platform.
Addressing the issue, the Director of Human Resource at the Ministry, Frederick Mensah-Acheampong, assured the public that the recruitment exercise is being handled with fairness and transparency. He explained that the process is strategically aligned with the government’s Free Primary Health Care programme, which aims to strengthen healthcare delivery, particularly in underserved and rural communities across the country.
According to the Ministry, the new online system was introduced to streamline the recruitment process, improve efficiency, and ensure that qualified health professionals are deployed to areas where they are most needed. Despite challenges and concerns raised by some applicants, officials insist that measures are being taken to ensure a smooth and credible process.
The Ministry has therefore urged applicants to remain calm and patient, assuring them that every effort is being made to deliver a fair recruitment exercise that supports Ghana’s broader healthcare development goals.
