65% Back Mahama’s Decision Not to Seek Third Term – Global InfoAnalytics Poll

A new poll by Global InfoAnalytics has revealed that a majority of Ghanaians are in favour of President John Dramani Mahama’s decision not to pursue another term in office after his current tenure.

According to the survey, 65% of respondents support Mahama’s position against seeking a third term in the 2028 presidential election.

The findings further show that 27% of those surveyed disagree with the President’s decision, while 8% were undecided or had no opinion on the matter.

The results come amid growing discussions within Ghana’s political space about the 2028 elections and who could eventually succeed President Mahama as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) prepares for the next electoral contest.

The poll was disclosed by Global InfoAnalytics Executive Director, Mussa Dankwah, as part of the research firm’s latest assessment of public opinion and Ghana’s political landscape.

The findings are expected to generate further discussion about the future direction of the NDC and the possible contenders who could emerge to lead the party into the 2028 elections.
