According to her, authorities have undertaken measures to clear choked drains, desilt waterways, and enforce regulations intended to prevent activities that contribute to flooding. She noted that while occasional flooding may occur during periods of intense rainfall, the situation has improved considerably compared to previous years.
Hon. Ocloo emphasized that the regional administration remains committed to protecting lives and property by continuing investments in flood prevention projects and strengthening collaboration with relevant agencies.
Her remarks come amid ongoing public discussions about flooding in parts of Accra, particularly during the rainy season when residents often experience disruptions caused by overflowing drains and waterlogged roads.
