Medical practitioners at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital have halted the delivery of services, expressing serious worries about patient safety and adherence to professional ethics.

In a formal communication issued by the Korle-Bu Doctors Association (KODA), the group confirmed that the industrial action officially commenced on May 2.

The association emphasized that the decision was made after careful consideration and was not a rash move, given the circumstances at hand.

KODA explained that the action is motivated by the need to safeguard patients, uphold professional integrity, and ensure the continued effectiveness of the institution.

The doctors are therefore appealing to hospital management to respond promptly to the issues raised, stating, “We trust that Management will act with the urgency that these matters demand.”
