No More Cheap Bids? Ghana Plans New Rules for Mining Contractors
The Minerals Commission is preparing new wage and tender benchmarks to stop mining contractors from submitting unrealistically low bids just to secure contracts. The move is also intended to protect workers, improve safety standards and strengthen Ghanaian participation in the mining sector.
