IEA Breaks Silence On US$1.7bn GoldBod Loss Debate — Says Money Is On BoG’s Books
The IEA has disputed claims that GoldBod itself suffered a US$1.7 billion loss through the Domestic Gold Purchase Programme. Prof. Alexander Bilson Darku says the reported loss was recorded on the Bank of Ghana’s books, with foreign-exchange valuation accounting for a significant portion of the amount.
