Finance Ministry alleges $65 million in flood protection funds was diverted to COVID-19 under Akufo-Addo administration
The Ministry of Finance claims the previous Akufo-Addo administration diverted US$65 million from the World Bank-funded GARID flood protection project to finance COVID-19 activities. The Ministry says the diversion contributed to Ghana’s debt burden and affected funding intended for flood mitigation.
