Cocoa Farmers Kick Against Parts of New Law Protecting Cocoa Lands
Ghanaian cocoa farmers have raised concerns about aspects of a new law designed to prevent cocoa lands from being converted for mining and other uses. While farmers support protecting cocoa farms, they want some provisions reviewed, particularly those affecting the replacement of unproductive or diseased farms.
